i can but honestly there's a risk-reward calculation happening in my head

Some of you are socially maladjusted babies that I accidentally tagged once and now I want to remove you from my plurk because I'm tired of your e-begging and funko pop collections that it's too much hassle to have a conversation you know will go south because honestly what good does it do to be like "you act in a way I prefer not to interact with" do for anyone

Someone I have an invested ooc relationship with, sure, I'm willing to take on some more stakes and have that conversation

But like honestly the people I'm the most BEC with are people I just find grating. Why is it not their responsibility to just not have an annoying personality.

if I have a vested interest in the relationship yeah sure work to amend it and work through that. I had a conflict with a friend that came up enough times and couldn't be reconciled we eventually decided to part ways. Other friends we've gotten through it.

but it's emotionally exhausting to have those types of conversations so strangers or random people in my game?? Let them live their life. It's not worth the risk or the effort.

alternatively: realize that this is a light hobby and it isn't anon's job to make themselves accessible to everyone if they don't want to

not everyone has the energy, time, or the investment to navigate the emotional labor involved in this kind of mediating and not one single person is entitled to it from them

do what normal, well-adjusted people do when someone doesn't want to be friends: shrug and move on with life, it's not that deep
