the answer is they're either totally delusional, or so thoroughly stupid they think they're a genius. they really seriously thought they were flying under the radar as the jgkc head mod. they really seriously thought that even if they were identified, anonmodding was an unbeatable alibi. even though they were so so so obvious, to the point that i had no idea who gonsai was when i joined jgkc but guessed they were a mod almost immediately, just based on them being an insufferable know-it-all about game lore in the discord and pretending to "guess" "correctly" at enigmatic statements made by npcs.
