when you implied that we championed a fight against child grooming that could not have been accomplished if it didn't exist and that if you don't agree you're a pervert who wants more children to be groomed here

to be strictly clear, i was the pickup on someone else's punt, so i can't speak to that person's intentions

but with my funny and darling post, i was pointing out that wg did, in fact, contribute to there being one less child predator in the dwrp community. to you, this was "nothing," the big goose egg, zero. but you can add or subtract zero from anything and not change it. so if this nothing never happened, to you, that would be as good as if it did happen.

iirc people tried to reach out to the victim and the victim's family, but whatever. this community ostracization happened with wankgate. your position looks like "but that doesn't count because i can imagine a perfect world where everything happened better and without wg."

This argument is pointless though because when anons said "wg is irrelevant" they mean in 2023, not "wankgate was irrelevant for all time". Being relevant years ago doesn't mean you're relevant now, that's the opposite of how relevancy works.

there has been at least one major, recent, highly visible wank that this community supercharged without a shadow of a doubt, with direct beneficial effects on affected dwrp players. interesting that it doesn't seem to register with either of the 2? 3? clout-demanding anons.

I'm the original anon who said that most of the actually disastrous JGK threads were logged in or on rpanons (the wankgate threads in comparison were just popcorning the former), and I still believe that, so I'm just going to dip since this is clearly an ouroboros of conversation

this same argument goes for dwrp itself tho, so there really isn't any point to it

either you're invested in a dying adjunct community of a dying hobby (in which case you probably oughta dip and find a hobby where the relevance you seek can be attained), or you're not invested in those but are still wasting your time and energy arguing about how totally not relevant they are. p. sad way to spend an evening either way imo
