i think what really rubs me the wrong way is how they’re approaching it with a western mindset when they talk about white washing and representation

because while they’re not wrong about the issue, assuming the reasoning is the same as the US and not taking in cultural values and history is also p racist imo! if anyone looks up han nationalism or han chauvinism, it’s a good introduction to understanding their attitudes toward race.

if folks wanted any confirmation that hoyoverse won't do anything about international players complaints, it's the fact that this has all been ignored, while the bug fix that nerfed a glitch that turned Neuvillette into a hydro pumping beyblade has already been apologized for with a rollback and compensation offered in return. and likely only because chinese players were reporting them to the government.
