on the one hand, i can sympathize a little bit. a game closed after i'd been in it for a couple years and i was really looking forward to seeing it through to endgame. i was sad and a little butthurt when it closed and missed it terribly for a while.
but i was nowhere near this devastated. the most distraught people that i knew from the game were nowhere near this devastated. "my life is over, i'm going to die, how am i supposed to do my schoolwork now!?" what a load of bullshit. it's probably a good thing SP died, maybe now this kid can return to reality and gain a little perspective.

I think people are too obsessed with casts. It doesn't matter if you are from the same canon or not, you are in the same situation with the same stuff going on. Just play the game and be in the situation instead of always worrying what your "castmates" are doing.
Bonus points when its a memory loss game and everyone should theoretically mean the same amount to you as your "castmates" because you have no canon memories.

Then I see you in memes, dropping those, so I know it's not that you're not around- you're just lazy or SOMETHING and for the life of me I can't make any sense of it. Please just finish the threads you start, jfc. It's not hard, especially ours because our characters have incredibly close CR in canon. Oh, and don't go into enabling memes and all that unless you actually intend to thread out with people, because it grinds on me that you're dumb enough to think that you'll follow through with it.

There can be places though, like I said that musebox is still a very real possibility
people are bitching that the game should be handed off to someone else so that it won't close. fair enough, but who the hell is standing up to take over the game? the spn people, the biggest clique in that game? no one wants to see them make it into their own private sandbox. players would drop just to get away from them and that's killing a game. how about those phancyhive people? again a big clique that barely plays in the game, they just use it for the setting and do whatever the fuck they want.

this is what makes me really pissed off. the community isn't short of ideas? how many player plots have people brought to the table that could include the whole game? castiels crazy thing where only the spn cast could do shit with? oh wait didnt the mods do this super cool plot where people went back in time and there was an army and you could do anything? that plot that no one did anything with? how about all of those plots the mods made that no one picked up. look at those news feeds there is a lot of plot there that no one does anything with unless its a virus on the nvs.

as someone who's been a lone canon warrior for 9/10ths of my roleplaying career, i've never understood the big deal about casts. it's fun to have castmates in a game, don't get me wrong, but lack of them has certainly never stopped me apping anywhere that looks interesting, or interacting with people in a game.
