yeah love being forced to tag someone who is famously shitty in dwrp and also a shit writer just to be part of a plot

tenny and pel being allowed to essentially make their own ocs and use them as npcs in the game while players are required to tag with them was also a terrible idea

no one is forcing you to tag them or their npcs

if you can't stand the people who run this game, there is a simple solution to your problem

didn't the last event literally have a prompt where players who took part were required to thread with the npcs otherwise they would be written out of the plot completely? i don't know how you can look at that and say that players aren't being forced to tag the npcs.

i've also seen the npcs turn up in network posts more frequently and there's no way to opt out of being tagged by them.

because they aren't being forced? the plot was opt-in, and if you didn't respond or want to thread anything out, you didn't have to. your character would just wake up with blood missing.

you don't have to like the npcs but it is weird to act like the mod team is forcing you to interact with them, because they're not.

also if you get tagged by them on the network, just don't tag them back.

anon, take it from someone outside looking in, who doesn't care either way: you're getting really defense of the mod team and pel in a way that isn't making them look good right now. this thread would have just died off on its own, if you didn't step in.

you're probably right but if i was in their position and someone brought this thread to my attention, it would make me feel 2% better to know that not every anon in this dumpster fire thinks the work i'm doing is garbage.

I enjoy the game, I just think the mods are making awful calls and not communicating well and need to do better

I get you, anon. It's the double edged sword of sticking up for people in wg. That said, I'm in the game too and can't tell if the person who's got such a mod hateboner on either can't read (see forced mod npc interactions) or just isn't in the game at all so they're bitching third hand about something they heard through hearsay lmao.

But I'm +1 you in that the new mods are doing good work, I'm happy in the game, and while I'm not loving the new plot coin changes I'm okay with implementing them and offering the mods feedback if I have any to give. Maybe I won't have any complaints after.

nfn anon but "you either thread with the npcs or your character is critically injured" does sound a lot like the players are being railroaded into it. there needs to be a compromise for players who want to participate in the plot but might also want to opt out of tagging certain players. considering how many people have brought up issues with pel in this thread it's clear that he's a polarising presence and requiring players to tag him is a poorly thought out decision.
