would much rather rp with someone who ticks all of these boxes and actually answers their tags than with someone who goes all in on the aesthetic and then never finishes any of their threads.

given that it takes icon artists six months just to show a half-finished draft sketch and they still have the nerve to charge $60 for the privilege, i don't blame people for wanting to spend five minutes making something just as good for free

apparently an actually unpopular opinion, but i think paying for icons is stupid. people expecting someone playing on a site like dw to be able to or to even want to fork over cash for pixels is mind boggling to me. i will either scour the internet for free icons or suck it up and crop my own. the idea that in the other thread someone like 'use picrew while you're waiting for your commissions', like that's just normal, is out there for me. i have never paid for icons other than purchasing a paid to use free icons. y'all have too much free flow cash and expect others to have the same.

i'd be on board with people saying in their info posts if they treat memes/psls as backburner or on par with game threads. no shade if someone puts threads on a hierarchy ( game plot > tdm > psl > meme or whatever), just be transparent so people can self select out if the queue is too long for their liking.

the average wol is miles better to play with than any flavor of the month gacha blorbo could ever be. at least the wol player will still give a shit about their character in three months' time, and it doesn't matter how much better the 100% legit canon character might be if they're being played badly by an overinvested weirdo anyway, which they almost always are. we're all overinvested weirdors or we wouldn't be here.

also most gacha blorbos are one-note, laser-focus-tested, disposable trash.

DWRP should agree to ban anyone who e-begs. Games, bakerstreet, ect. They are all scammers who do not deliver on their products, sometimes even using their children or animals as sympathy, and explot the good nature of hard working people on the website.

When we give beggers access to RP isn't helping them get a job or improve their life situation. It's helping their mental illness fester. I'm constantly seeing animal/child abuse on here about e-beggers. And unlike our sensitive mods, I don't want it deleted or frozen. I want us to talk about a real solution. Mine is simple... ban rpers who do this.

Sadly, I never see that happening. I'd like to be optimistic, but with the mod mindset we have now I do not see it happening.

Sometimes rp can make you dislike a character in canon.

I see this one character played like an incel creep or fuckboy sleaze so many times I now started to hate seeing him in the canon too.

I really don't get the attitude of backburnering psl tags once you're in a game. For me PSLs are where I get to jump right to the good stuff, the kind of cr and plot that makes me love rp. The only exception is til AC is made, one that happens PSLs are right up there on the priority list with my game tags.

Boomerangers (I consider boomeranging taking between 1 to 5 minutes to tag) largely don't write good tags and it honestly feels desperate.

Taking an extra few minutes to reflect on your character, their motivations, and voice yields better RP. Groundbreaking.

Anyone who complains about never getting tagged in games but never tags out or always flakes on their threads should be kicked from the game for being whiny and annoying. Doubly so if they blame it on cliques or shipping.

I could just unfollow them, but then they'd still be in the game for me to see.

I'm sympathetic to illness and life circumstances, but at some point I stop wanting to hear people give their reasons for not tagging on a daily basis. Tell me when you are around and doing shit, and stop demanding my attention to pat you on the back and tell you it's okay you haven't done shit in weeks.
